Digital skills training
Last year we successfully delivered 16 courses across the Wyre Forest district and helped 60 of our customers to improve their digital skills.
We're delighted to announce that due to the continued popularity of the courses, we will once again be delivering a further 16 courses throughout 2019 in partnership with Heart of Worcestershire (HOW) College.
The training sessions, which are two hours a week for five weeks, will be held at community venues across the district to help people to access training and support in familiar surroundings.
Our Beginners Course proved to be such a success that we developed a Next Steps Course for those who want to develop their skills and knowledge a little further. We also offer you the opportunity to work closely with our partners from Vestia to take your training to the next level and gain a recognised qualification.
The courses are FREE to customers of The Community Housing Group and offered on a first come, first served basis!

Feedback from our Tenants
"I always worry if I’m behind with my rent and now I can check as often as I want with MYaccount. Thank you!".
"I now feel confident enough to go into the local library and use their computers to research things I wanted to know and I can send emails with confidence. Thank you so much for doing this for me".
"I have had a laptop for some time now but was always frightened to use it! I am now using it for all of my online shopping and emailing, and even skyping friends the other side of the world. This is brilliant; all it needed was someone to have the patience to show me what to do. Thank you!".
"Having never used a computer before I was very nervous but I found this course very enlightening and mixing with the other tenants was so encouraging and helpful. The tutor from HOW College was so patient and didn’t make us feel silly in any way. I cannot wait for the next level course to begin. Thank you so much, I have really overcome my fear of computers".

'Do you have some free time?'
'Why not become one of our Digital Volunteers'
We are really pleased to have recruited a number of Digital Volunteers from customers who have attended our courses or who have said they would like to share their skills and knowledge to other tenants on a one-to-one basis or support them in the training sessions.
We are always pleased to welcome more volunteers with skills at all levels, not just experts!
