Shared Ownership allows you to part rent and part buy until you are in a position to purchase the whole property.
This means that you only need to have a small mortgage on the percentage you agree to buy and in the mean time, you pay a subsidised rent for the rest of the property.
For example, if a property costs £120,000 for the full share, you may wish to purchase 50% now and buy the remaining 50% over a number of years.
At the start, you would need to secure a mortgage for just £60,000. We will work out how much rent you need to pay on the remaining part of the property.
You occupy the full property and enjoy all the benefits of home ownership.
