The Community Housing Group - Incorporating Wyre Forest Community Housing - Saturday November 22, 2008

How to join...

As a tenant of Wyre Forest Community Housing, you will be very welcome to join us as a Tenant Representative if you:

Download an application form (PDF opens in new window) and we will arrange for the Chair of your local Tenant Consultative Committee to contact you with more information.

Download the TCC Constitution (PDF opens in new window)

Download the Tenant Representative Code of Conduct (PDF opens in new window)

Every year, the Tenant Consultative Committee is elected at an Annual General Meeting. If you want to join after the Annual General Meeting, you can be co-opted onto the committee with the agreement of other committee members.

What does a Tenant Representative do
In simple terms, you represent the views of your neighbours and can highlight concerns or ideas on their behalf.

You don’t need to have any formal skills or experience of working with a committee to join. You do need to be a good listener, not be afraid to put your views forward and be interested in issues which affect your home, community and local neighbourhoods. It also helps to have a good sense of humour!.

The Community Housing Group has a specialist team who provide help and support to tenant representatives. They organise training courses on topics such as committee skills and community development as well as providing tenant representatives with information about the services provided by the Company so that they can make informed comments and decisions about current and proposed services.
