How Grants are Awarded
Applications are awarded on a quarterly basis by the Approvals Panel which is made up of The Community Housing Group employees, Tenant Consultative Committee Members, Tenant Board Members, West Mercia Police Representative, Voluntary Sector Representative and Young Adviser.
Meetings take place throughout our financial year (April – March), in June, September, December and March. A full grant timetable is available on this website.
You can apply for up to £1,000 each financial year; which can be in the form of one or a number of applications within the year.
Each grant request must be submitted on the grant application. The form will be checked before it reaches the assessment stage to make sure that enough information has been given for the Approvals Panel to reach a decision.
The Approvals Panel may decide to award the whole grant, a proportion of the grant or refuse the application completely. From time to time it may be necessary for the Panel to place certain terms and conditions on the grant before it is awarded.
The Approvals Panel has been set up to make sure that the grant money is being allocated to the most effective projects, the application procedure is fair and that each application is taken on its merits.
Applicants will be informed in writing once a decision has been reached.
The decision of the Approvals Panel is final, therefore there is no appeal procedure.
