The Community Housing Group Ltd

The Community Housing Group Limited is a company limited by guarantee, registered with Companies House and incorporate on 28th February 2003. The organisation is non-profit making and registered with the Housing Corporation.

The Parent does not own property but is responsible for overseeing Group strategy and direction and providing a wide range of support services to the subsidiaries.

Wyre Forest Community Housing

Wyre Forest Community Housing came into being on 27th March 2000 following the large scale voluntary transfer of the housing stock from Wyre Forest District Council.

WFCH is a company limited by guarantee. It is the founding member of the group and owns and manages just under 6,000 properties, garages, commercial shops and Community Centres.

Services provided through the company include

• Housing and homelessness advice
• Neighbourhood management
• Anti-social behaviour prevention
• Neighbourhood Warden services
• Tenancy management

WFCH contains CHG Property Services which provides a comprehensive repairs, maintenance and improvement service for the Group and other external organisations across the West Midlands including Registered Social Landlords, schools, colleges, building companies and commercial premises.

CHG Property Services contains the highly successful Bespoke Joinery Services and Oakleaf Grounds Services.

Wyre Forest Sheltered Housing Ltd

Wyre Forest Sheltered Housing Limited was launched in April 2005. WFSH is an Industrial and Provident Society with charitable status.

The Company provides affordable, quality homes and services for older and vulnerable people.

These include:

• Visiting care support at home
• Home adaptations
• Sheltered housing accommodation and services
• The Cooking Pot dining club
• Telecare Alarms

Worcestershire Telecare

Worcestershire TeleCare is recognised as one of the leading service providers in the UK. Originally operated by a consortium of the three District Councils in South Worcestershire, the service transferred to The Community Housing Group on 1st April 2008 in a unique partnership involving four of the leading Registered Social Landlords in Worcestershire - Festival Housing Group, Rooftop Housing Group, Worcester Community Housing and Wyre Forest Sheltered Housing.

The partnership was established to promote and deliver telecare services across the counties of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and into surrounding areas.
