The Board of Management
Each part of The Community Housing Group is governed and run by a board of Management made up of Councillors, Tenants and Independent Members.
The purpose of the Board of Management is to ensure that the Company operates effectively having regard to its objectives and its legal and moral obligations to tenants, those in housing need and the communities in which it operates.
The Board is ultimately responsible for all decisions and actions taken in the name of the Company. Specific responsibilities include: -
- To set, monitor and review and amend the overall aims and objectives of the Company.
- To set, monitor and review the Company’s key policies e.g. Rent Setting, Rent Collection and Rent Arrears Recovery, Repairs Maintenance and Improvement Policy etc
- To, set, monitor and review the Company’s financial regulations, annual budgets, staffing levels, tenancy agreements, major maintenance and repairs programmes development programme and public relation and marketing policies.
- To manage the Company’s stock development plans including strategy needs, standards, affordability and financing.
